The Hillcrest Rams will venture away from home to face off against the Daniel Lions at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hillcrest will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
Hillcrest picked up another tournament win on Monday. They put the hurt on Brookland-Cayce with a sharp 14-3 win. Fans of the Rams have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.
Noah Jarolimek made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2025. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Garrett Shipman was excellent, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Carver Youngblood was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Hillcrest always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Brookland-Cayce only posted an OBP of .333.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Daniel). They came out on top against Woodmont by a score of 11-6 on Tuesday. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Like Hillcrest, Daniel also got a great game from a two-way player: Corbin Spilliards. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Spilliards was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and one run.
In other pitching news, Will Davis looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Eli Payne, who went 4-for-5 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Those runs marked the first that he has scored this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Christmas, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Hillcrest's record now sits at 3-0. As for Daniel, their record is now 3-1.
Daniel's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Hillcrest has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .527. It's a different story for Daniel, though, as they've only averaged .361.
