Softball Recap: Woodstock North Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Woodstock North entered their tilt with Richmond-Burton on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They skirted past the Rockets 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 two weeks ago.

Woodstock North's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Emma Enot, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Enot has brought in this season.

Woodstock North's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-7. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for Richmond-Burton, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-7-1.

Coming up, Woodstock North will head out to challenge Sandwich at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Richmond-Burton, they will be playing at home against Kenosha Bradford at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Rockets 2.9, the Red Devils 1.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
