The Bisbee Pumas can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Monday. They claimed a resounding 74-42 win over Santa Rita at home. The win made it back-to-back wins for Bisbee.
Bisbee got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jose Mendez out in front who scored 20 points. Mendez hasn't dropped below 20 points for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Francisco Loya, who scored 15 points.
Santa Rita's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of David Gonzales, who scored 12 points, and Jonathan Duran who scored ten points.
Bisbee's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-9. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.3 points per game. As for Santa Rita, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-14.
Bisbee will head out on the road to face off against Valley Union at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bisbee will be up against Valley Union's rather soft defense (which has allowed 59.15 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive showing. As for Santa Rita, they will be playing at home against Tombstone at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Arizona (Tombstone is ranked 319th, while Santa Rita is ranked 328th).
