The Stockdale Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 57-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Independence. Stockdale was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Independence apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
Independence was led to victory by AMARIUS "AR" ROWEL and JAMES TANNER. ROWEL scored 18 points, while TANNER dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points TANNER has scored all season.
Stockdale has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-14 record this season. As for Independence, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 17-7.
Stockdale didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 52-44 defeat vs. Garces Memorial on the 7th. Independence has also already played their next game, a 77-62 defeat against Bakersfield Christian on the 7th.
