While Grace Community's win against Slocum wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cougars had just enough and edged out the Mustangs 9-8 on Monday. Winning may never get old, but the Cougars sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Grace Community let Colton Garrison and Dylan Stinson run wild. Garrison went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double, while Stinson went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. Ethan Burton was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

The victory got Grace Community back to even at 4-4. As for Slocum, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grace Community will square off against Regents at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Slocum, they will venture away from home to challenge Oakwood at 4:30 p.m. on the 24th.
