The American Heritage Stallions's road trip will continue as they head out to face the American Heritage Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on January 20th. Hopefully the Stallions are not getting complacent, as they present a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Patriots in Florida (the Stallions are ranked 127th, while the Patriots are ranked 422nd).
Last Tuesday, American Heritage was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 49-43 to Jupiter.
Despite the defeat, American Heritage saw an underclassman step up: Zack Burrow scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Brendan Gerard, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, American Heritage ended up a good deal behind NSU University on Thursday and lost 66-47. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for American Heritage in their matchups with NSU University: they've now lost three in a row.
American Heritage has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-5 record this season. As for American Heritage, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.
The Stallions didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against the Patriots when the teams last played back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 47-41 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Stallions since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
