Yuma won the last time they faced Cortez and things went their way on Friday too. The Criminals blew past the Colts 15-5. The result was nothing new for the Criminals, who have now won nine matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Yuma got a massive performance out of Derryel Medel, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Elia Palencia, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.

Yuma always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. They are a perfect 9-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Yuma is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Cortez, their loss dropped their record down to 6-12.

Yuma has already played their next contest, a 14-1 defeat against Kofa on the 28th. As for Cortez, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 12-2 loss against Glendale on the 28th.
