Basketball Recap: Central Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Central Christian Academy was the 35-31 winner over Eminence when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Central Christian Academy Chargers were dealt a 60-31 loss at the hands of the Eminence Eels on Friday. The Chargers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Corian Walker and Josiah Riggins certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Walker posted seven points and 14 rebounds, while Riggins earned 12 points and five rebounds. That was a full 38.7% of Central Christian Academy's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's put up more than a third of the team's points.

Central Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Eminence, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 3-11.

Central Christian Academy will square off against Indiana School for the Deaf at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Central Christian Academy is facing Indiana School for the Deaf at the right time seeing as Indiana School for the Deaf is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Eminence, they will venture away from home to square off against Crothersville at 5:30 p.m. on January 11th.
