Dunbar is 4-0 against Kennedy since January of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Dunbar Mightymen will head out on the road to take on the Kennedy Crusaders at 6:30 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Dunbar stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They blew past Richards 75-44 at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Dunbar has posted since December 19, 2023.
Meanwhile, Kennedy waltzed into their contest on Friday with three straight wins but they left with four. They took down Muchin College Prep 57-40.
Kennedy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Michael Gallas, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Joseph Dahl, who scored 13 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Dunbar pushed their record up to 15-6 with that win, which was their tenth straight at home. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 45.3 points. As for Kennedy, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-11 record this season.
Dunbar beat Kennedy 62-54 in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Dunbar since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
