Olivet is 1-0 against Gull Lake since October of 2022, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Olivet Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Gull Lake Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Olivet gave up the first points last Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with a 21-14 victory over Lansing Catholic. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Olivet.
Among those leading the charge was Tayven Feldpausch, who picked up 87 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 94 yards. Feldpausch was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield for a catch that went for 65 yards.
Meanwhile, after only seven points in their last matchup, Gull Lake made sure to put some points up on the board against Pinckney on Thursday. Gull Lake put the hurt on Pinckney with a sharp 38-14 victory.
Olivet is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 3-5 record this season. As for Gull Lake, their win on Thursday bumped their record up to 5-3.
Everything came up roses for Olivet against Gull Lake in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 as the team secured a 40-10 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Olivet since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
