Make it four blowout wins for the Denver Jewish Day Tigers this season. They blew past Denver Waldorf 73-48. The score was close at the half, but Denver Jewish Day pulled away in the second half with 49 points.
Denver Jewish Day was led to victory by Solly Bielsky and Keenan Winnerman. Bielsky scored 16 points along with eight assists and eight rebounds, while Winnerman scored 23 points along with three steals and two blocks. That's the first time this season that Bielsky posted eight or more assists. The team also got some help courtesy of David Romershteyn, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Denver Waldorf lost on Wednesday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Henry Lottridge, who scored 13 points. Cayden Quinn was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five assists and two steals.
Denver Jewish Day pushed their record up to 7-1 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.2 points per game. As for Denver Waldorf, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-2.
Coincidentally, Denver Jewish Day and Denver Waldorf will both be playing Mile High Academy the next time they take the court. Denver Jewish Day will head out to face Mile High Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Denver Waldorf will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
