The win was all the more spectacular given Saint Mary's Hall's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 670th, while San Antonio Christian is ranked 228th).
Roman Chase continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 42 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Rico Hernandez emerged as the game's second-highest scorer, notching an impressive total of 18 points. Another player making a difference was Andre Huggins, who scored eight points.
Saint Mary's Hall's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-11. As for San Antonio Christian, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 23-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Saint Mary's Hall will face off against St. Joseph Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Joseph Academy is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. San Antonio Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on St. Augustine at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
