It may have taken  overtime to finish the job, but The Kennedy Titans ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Friday. They managed a  30-24 win over Alameda. The score was all tied up  15-15 at the break, but Kennedy was the  better team in the second half.
  Adrian Velazquez was a one-man wrecking crew for Kennedy as he rushed for 51 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 225 yards and  a touchdown. Kennedy also got a significant boost from  Maynard Lorenzo, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 103 yards.
 Kennedy is  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for Alameda, their defeat  ended a five-game streak of wins at home  dating back to last season and  dropped them to 6-3.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kennedy will  challenge San Lorenzo at 3:30  p.m.  on Friday. San Lorenzo is coming into the  game on a four-game losing streak. As for Alameda, they will head out on the road to face off against American at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. American is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
