The Alamance Christian Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They fell 41-28 to Gospel Light Christian. Alamance Christian has struggled against Gospel Light Christian recently, as their match on Monday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Gospel Light Christian found their leader in underclassman Maggie Jo Church, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 17 rebounds. Church is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now stole two or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Miller, who scored 10 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals.
Alamance Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Gospel Light Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
Alamance Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Surry HomeSchool at 5:30 p.m. on December 19th. As for Gospel Light Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Faith Christian at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th.
