The Commerce Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 games by 21 points or more this season. They took their game at home on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 76-47 victory over Chisum. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 47-27.
Despite the loss, Chisum still got an impressive performance from Emma Garner, who scored 24 points along with nine rebounds and seven blocks. Garner scored a full 51.1% of Chisum's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Bradberry, who scored six points.
Commerce's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.8 points per game. As for Chisum, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-12.
Commerce will head out on the road to face off against Grand Saline at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Grand Saline's defense has only allowed 28.8 points per game this season, so Commerce's offense will have their work cut out for Commerce. As for Chisum, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Edgewood at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Edgewood focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Tuesday.
