The Grape Creek Eagles''s 18-game losing streak dating back to last season came to an end on Friday. They walked away with a 20-13 win over Brady. The victory was just what Grape Creek needed coming off of a 54-0 loss in their prior contest.
Brady's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Daryl Adair, who rushed for 93 yards and a touchdown.
Grape Creek's victory bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Brady, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-6.
Grape Creek will take on Ballinger at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ballinger is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Brady, they will head out on the road to face off against Wall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wall knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four contests -- so hopefully Brady likes a good challenge.
