The East Central HomeSchool Patriots won the last time they faced the Mt. Pleasant Christian Lions, and things went their way on Saturday too. East Central HomeSchool walked away with a 50-38 win over Mt. Pleasant Christian. The victory made it back-to-back wins for East Central HomeSchool.
Micah Coalson was her usual excellent self, scoring 33 points along with five assists and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Nelson, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
East Central HomeSchool is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. As for Mt. Pleasant Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-2.
East Central HomeSchool will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Rocket City at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th. As for Mt. Pleasant Christian, they will be playing at home against Marshall Christian Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Marshall Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 208th, while Mt. Pleasant Christian is ranked 57th).
