Softball Recap: Clemens Wins Going Away Against Alexander

Clemens's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Alexander Bulldogs as the Clemens Buffaloes made off with an 11-1 win. The Buffaloes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six runs or more this season.

Clemens let Ava Arnold and Aubry Willmann run wild. Arnold went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Willmann went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. What's more, Arnold posted two hits, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Brianna Neel also deserves some recognition as she stole her first stolen base of the season.

Clemens kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Alexander onlymanaged two hits.

Clemens has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Alexander and nudges their season record down to 2-6.

Coincidentally, Clemens and Alexander will both be playing Winn the next time they take the field. Alexander will host Winn at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Clemens will head out to face them at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
