Madison-Grant lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Katie Stowers, who scored eight points along with two blocks.
Sophia Morrison was her usual excellent self, going 7 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 25 points and 7 assists for Eastbrook. Another player making a difference was Olivia Howell, who scored 17 points along with five steals.
Madison-Grant has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season. As for Eastbrook, the victory was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Madison-Grant will take on Alexandria-Monroe at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Alexandria-Monroe presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Madison-Grant in Indiana (Alexandria-Monroe is ranked 88th, while Madison-Grant is ranked 304th). As for Eastbrook, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Adams Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Adams Central is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
