Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Thomas Aquinas to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ayden (AJ) Ambrose, who scored 16 points along with five assists and four steals. Clarence Westbrook Jr. was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with three steals.
St. Thomas Aquinas' victory bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Miami Beach, their loss dropped their record down to 11-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Thomas Aquinas will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Deerfield Beach at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. The timing isn't great for Deerfield Beach: they have been struggling with nine straight losses at home, while St. Thomas Aquinas has snatched up five consecutive wins on the road. As for Miami Beach, they will face off against American at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
