The Ethel Tigers lost against the Nanih Waiya Warriors back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Ethel suffered a rough 59-36 defeat at the hands of the Warriors. Ethel has not had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Ethel's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ladarris Hubbert, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was X'zavius Merritt, who scored eight points.
Ethel has not been sharp recently as the team's lost 13 of their last 14 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season. As for Nanih Waiya, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ethel will take on the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. McAdams knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 12 games -- so hopefully the Tigers like a good challenge. As for Nanih Waiya, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m.
