Meanwhile, Southwest EC's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their 13th straight loss. They were beaten by Central 77-45. Southwest EC was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-20.
Holtville now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Southwest EC, their defeat was their sixth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-14.
Holtville beat Southwest EC 43-30 when the teams last played last Friday. The rematch might be a little tougher for Holtville since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
