Vermont Academy is a perfect 4-0 against Brewster Academy National since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Wildcats will host the Bobcats at 4:00 p.m. Vermont Academy is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.

On Saturday, Vermont Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Holderness, taking the game 7-2.

Kaiden McCarthy tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over six innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Ryan Peloso was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That triple was his first of the season. Logan Sinacola was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Brewster Academy National hadn't done well against St. Paul's recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Bobcats had just enough and edged out the Big Red 7-6. The Bobcats' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Vermont Academy's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average this season. As for Brewster Academy National, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Vermont Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Brewster Academy National in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 9-4. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Bobcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
