Hayfork took a serious blow against Ferndale on Tuesday, falling 65-31. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Hayfork has suffered since December 8, 2023.
When it comes to explaining why Hayfork lost, one person who can't be blamed is Daniel Kasper. Despite the final result, he scored nine points along with seven rebounds and two steals. That's the first time this season that Kasper grabbed two or more steals.
Ferndale found their leader in underclassman Prescott Langer, who scored 18 points. Langer continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Thomas Fergison, who scored ten points.
Hayfork has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season. As for Ferndale, their win bumped their record up to 4-7.
