It was a good run, but the South Point Pointers unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 47-36 to Symmes Valley. South Point was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Symmes Valley apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
Symmes Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lydia Saunders , who scored 13 points along with 5 assists and 5 steals. Desiree Simpson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds.
South Point's defeat dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Symmes Valley, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.
South Point will be playing at home against Rock Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Symmes Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Wheelersburg at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
