The North Star Huskies lost against The Ambrose School Archers back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. North Star was dealt a 68-32 defeat at the hands of the Archers. North Star was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-14.
When it comes to explaining why North Star lost, one person who can't be blamed is Nico Garcia. Despite the final result, he scored eight points along with eight rebounds. It was the first time this season that Garcia pulled down eight or more rebounds.
North Star's loss dropped their record down to 2-16. As for The Ambrose School, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.
North Star will head out on the road to challenge the Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Melba presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Huskies in Idaho (the Mustangs are ranked 35th, while the Huskies are ranked 123rd). As for The Ambrose School, they will be playing at home against the Aviators at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Compass Charter is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.
