Utica has gone a perfect 3-0 against Amanda-Clearcreek recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. While Utica's win against Licking Valley wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Redskins had just enough and edged out the Panthers 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Redskins have posted since September 11th.
Utica got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. The final score came out to 25-23, 18-25, 28-30, 25-13, 15-9.
Utica's win on Thursday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Callie Baker, who had 15 digs and one assist. Another player making a difference was Jessi Paxton, who had 13 digs and three assists.
Meanwhile, Amanda-Clearcreek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Logan Elm, falling 3-0.
While Amanda-Clearcreek was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-8, 25-23.
Amanda-Clearcreek's defeat dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Utica, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.
Utica beat Amanda-Clearcreek 2-0 in their previous meeting back in August of 2018. Will the Redskins repeat their success, or do the Aces have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
