After flying high against the Lawrence Golden Tornadoes back in January, the Malverne Mules came back down to earth. Malverne received a tough blow on Thursday as they fell 61-45 to the Quakers. Malverne has struggled against the Quakers recently, as their game on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Jackson O'Brien continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Friends Academy, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Mckenzie, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Malverne's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Friends Academy, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 14-4.
Malverne will be playing in front of their home fans against the Golden Tornadoes at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Lawrence comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Friends Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
