In what's become a running theme this season, the Boone Braves gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. Everything went their way against Lake Howell as Boone made off with a 52-31 victory. The win was nothing new for Boone as they're now sitting on nine straight.
Mckenna Murphy was her usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with six steals. She hasn't dropped below 15 points for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Victoria DelaCruz, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
Boone pushed their record up to 18-3 with that win, which was their tenth straight at home. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 33.9 points. As for Lake Howell, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Boone won't have much time to rest: their next match is against River Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (River Ridge is ranked 59th, while Boone is ranked 36th). As for Lake Howell, they will be playing at home against Winter Park at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Winter Park focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday.
