The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Northwestern in their matchups with the Bruins: they've now lost six in a row.
Despite the loss, Northwestern had strong showings from Jaylan Moore, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds, and Mason Mitchell, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and five assists. Theron Young was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two steals.
Lancaster's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Malik Tinsley, who scored nine points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Jordan Watford, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
Northwestern has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season. As for Lancaster, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-6.
Northwestern will be playing at home against the Warriors at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Indian Land is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 62.8 points per game this season. As for Lancaster, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Stallions at 6:30 p.m. on January 27th. South Pointe will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while the Bruins are ranked 14th).
