Moon Posts Huge Game in 48-28 Victory
Starting off the list is Sotomayor's Chauncey Moon, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Moon rushed for 117 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries, and also threw for 85 yards and a touchdown. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.
The victory (which was Sotomayor's fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2. Moon will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant effort when he faces off against Taft on Thursday.

Aldric Trotter and Co. Win Third in a Row
Aldric Trotter was instrumental in extending Harlan's winning streak to three on Saturday. Holmes had no answer to Trotter as he threw for 291 yards and four touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes.
Harlan's victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. It'll be Battle of the Birds when Hawks takes on Stevens at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Raymond Foster-Davis's big game helped extend Taft's winning streak to four on Friday. Foster-Davis turned in nothing short of a gem, picking up 132 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Taft's win bumped their record up to 5-1. Foster-Davis and Taft are taking a road trip to challenge Sotomayor at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Tucker Vogel Dazzles in Taft Victory
Another Taft player making an appearance on this list is Tucker Vogel. He threw for 286 yards and four touchdowns on only 18 passes, and also rushed for 56 yards and a touchdown.

Payton Matthews Turns in Season-Best Performance
On Saturday, Harlan got the W thanks in part to Payton Matthews playing the best football he has all season. Matthews picked up 126 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 42 yards.
Holmes had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Matthews it was a similar story. Matthews picked up 115 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 70 yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Huskies duked it out back in October of 2023.
