The East Ridge Knights had to endure a 23-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They enjoyed a cozy 58-44 win over Belleview on Monday. That 14 points margin sets a new team best for East Ridge this season.
East Ridge's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Blake Kendrick, who scored 16 points along with four steals. That's the first time this season that Kendrick scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Corman, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and seven steals.
Despite the loss, Belleview still got an impressive performance from Demarcus Mcdaniel, who scored 20 points. Mcdaniel is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Julian Ramos, who scored ten points.
East Ridge's win ended a 13-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-21. As for Belleview, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-17.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Ridge's road trip will continue as they head out to face Eustis at 12:45 p.m. on January 30th. Eustis has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 385 points over their last six games. As for Belleview, they will head out on the road to challenge Newberry at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
