On Saturday, Countryside Christian had to suffer through a rough 77-42 loss at the hands of St. Johns Country Day. While losing is never fun, Countryside Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 795th, while St. Johns Country Day is ranked 375th).
St. Johns Country Day found their leader in underclassman Camden Cooper, who scored 22 points along with six rebounds. The matchup was Cooper's 12th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Reese, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds and four steals.
Countryside Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for St. Johns Country Day, they pushed their record up to 10-3 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Countryside Christian will take on Bell at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Johns Country Day, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Harvest Community at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
