Licking Valley dropped their record down to 11-3 on Thursday, which also ended the team's seven-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Watkins Memorial Warriors by a score of 4-2. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

As for Watkins Memorial, they pushed their record up to 8-8 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games.

For Watkins Memorial's part, Bradley Vincent spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on seven hits and racked up eight Ks.
