Lee's Summit West (Lee's Summit, Mo.) upset Kickapoo (Springfield, Mo.) 51-13 on the strength of
Thomas Ganaden, who tossed four touchdown passes.
After taking the lead on a touchdown pass by Ganaden to
Tyler Boehm in the first quarter, the Titans were up 24-6 at the half.
Lee's Summit West grew its lead to 39 points entering the fourth quarter. LSW scored three times in the third, including once on a Ganaden touchdown pass to
Grayson Handel.
The loss snapped Kickapoo's 11-game winning streak.
The Lee's Summit school came into the game allowing 11.1 points per game. Kickapoo's 13 points were well below their season average of 34.9 per game. Kickapoo came in surrendering 13.7 points per game this season. KHS had a hard time against Lee's Summit West's offense, who entered the game scoring 36.7 points per game.
The loss comes after Kickapoo defeated Nixa 45-14 last week.
