Valley View is 0-10 against Franklin since May of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. The Spartans will take on the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. Franklin took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Valley View, who comes in off a win.
Valley View is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Dayton Christian 22-4 on Monday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Spartans with their most commanding win of the season.
Kendall Wilson was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Those two hits gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Emily Woodward was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Kara Wilson also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Valley View kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 22 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 3.6 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 11.6.
Meanwhile, Franklin came up short against Beavercreek on Saturday and fell 6-3.
Meredith Zehring was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Paisley Coffman, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run.
The victory made it two in a row for Valley View and bumps their season record up to 5-8. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Franklin, they now have a losing record of 7-8.
Valley View couldn't quite get it done against Franklin in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 as they fell 6-1. Can the Spartans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
