Trinity Episcopal extended the longest winning streak in VISFA Freelance this week by beating Bishop Sullivan Catholic, 24-0. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Titans.
Trinity Episcopal moved up to 178 from 211 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. A 24-0 win over the Crusaders helped Sam Mickens' team improve its standing.
Stevie Peterson put up the best numbers through the air as Flint Hill topped Bishop Ireton. He finished with 11 completions for 128 yards and two touchdowns. Peterson's favorite target this week was Ben Kase, who caught three passes for 55 yards.
Austin Zicht was the best wideout in the league this week as Pope John Paul the Great defeated Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Zicht racked up five receptions for 66 yards. Sean Stryker helped Pope John Paul the Great's passing attack out by catching one ball for 12 yards.
Zak Perroots provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Wolves beat the Cougars. He completed one pass for four yards and also ran for 200 yards.
On the ground, St. Stephen's & St. Agnes's Darius Manora has rushed for 697 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Stephen Iverson. The Hampton Christian star has 23 catches for 335 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Cardinals take on Benedictine. Bishop Ireton is currently in 17th, while the Cadets are in third.
