Baseball Recap: Kerr-Vance Academy Gets the Win

Kerr-Vance Academy took a 12-run loss the last time they faced off against Franklinton, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Spartans skirted past the Red Rams 9-8. This was a revenge game for the Spartans: when they faced off against the Red Rams on Wednesday, they had to take a 13-1 defeat.

MJ Wright was a standout: he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. He has become a key player for Kerr-Vance Academy: the team is 5-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-13 otherwise. Mason Richardson was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI.

Kerr-Vance Academy lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since the start of last season.
