Kenton Ridge barely beat Shawnee the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cougars were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Braves on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won six contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Julian Daniels was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Kenton Ridge got a massive performance out of Zach Deel, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Aiden Yeatts, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Kenton Ridge kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Shawnee only managed five hits.
Meanwhile, Piqua unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Stebbins.
Owen Shawler was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.
Kenton Ridge's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Piqua, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
Piqua's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Kenton Ridge hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .331. It's a different story for Piqua, though, as they've only averaged .238. Will they be able to contain Kenton Ridge's hitters?
