Even though the Aptos Mariners have not done well against the Salinas Cowboys recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Aptos snuck past Salinas with a 66-60 victory. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Leading Aptos to victory were Isaiah Ackerman and Lawrence Ingram. Ackerman scored 14 points, while Ingram scored 19 points. Ingram continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Adnan Ayyad, who scored nine points.
