After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Denver Waldorf, the Denver Academy of Torah Wolves were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They strolled past Mile High Academy with points to spare, taking the game 43-28. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Denver Academy of Torah also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Denver Academy of Torah was led to victory by Shmuely Brackman and Yosef Miller. Brackman scored 13 points along with five rebounds, while Miller scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Miller has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Mile High Academy still got an impressive performance from Josh Makizimana, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
Even though they lost, Mile High Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
The win got Denver Academy of Torah back to even at 3-3. As for Mile High Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Denver Academy of Torah will take on Vanguard Classical East at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mile High Academy, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Ascent Classical Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 16th. Ascent Classical Academy is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
