Finley Polk's Big Game Leads Northwestern over Rock Hill
  Finley Polk was instrumental in extending Northwestern's winning streak to nine on Friday. Polk did his part (and then some), rushing for 23 yards and three touchdowns, while also throwing for 175 yards and two touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes for the 'W'. He has been hot recently, having  posted two or more  rushing touchdowns the last three times he's  played.
 Rock Hill had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw  Polk it was a similar story. Back in September of 2023 (the last time  Polk saw the Bearcats), he rushed for 86 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 212 yards and three touchdowns.

Cade Gowdy Turns in Season-Best  Performance
 Sadly,  Cade Gowdy posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Nation Ford over Catawba Ridge on Friday. Gowdy wasn't messing around, making 16 total tackles (2.0 for loss) and defending two passes. The  contest was his eighth straight with five or   more total tackles.
 Nation Ford is  on  a  six-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-7. Gowdy and Nation Ford will square off against Clover at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday.

Derek Bylone Van Sandwyk Delivers Best  Effort of Season
 Nation Ford came up short  on Friday despite  Derek Bylone Van Sandwyk delivering his best game to date. Bylone Van Sandwyk picked up  three  sacks and made seven total tackles.
 This year,  Bylone Van Sandwyk  has averaged 5.8 total tackles per game  and for the season has 6 sacks.

Big Game from Horton As Indian Land Fell 21-7
 Indian Land had to settle for second  on Friday, but  Jamol Horton sure wasn't going down easily. Clover had no answer to  Horton  as he rushed for 138 yards and a touchdown. Indian Land is 2-1 when  Horton posts 100 or  more  rushing yards, but 2-3 otherwise.
 Indian Land has  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost four of their last five matchups,  which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record  this season. Horton's next  game is against Fort Mill on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid  performance.
