The Todd County Central Rebels came tearing into  Saturday's  contest with four straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. It was close, but they capped 2023 with a  41-39 victory over Hopkins County Central. Despite the  win, that was the fewest points Todd County Central has scored all year.
  Alexis Taylor continued  her habit of posting crazy stat lines,  dropping  a double-double on 16 points and 11  rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which  she has scored at least 25% of Todd County Central's points. Another player making a difference was  Abby Williams, who  scored 14 points.
 Todd County Central is  on a roll lately: they've  won nine of their last ten games,  which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for Hopkins County Central, they now  have a losing record at 5-6.
 Todd County Central and Franklin-Simpson will face off  at 6:00  p.m.  on January 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Franklin-Simpson is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Hopkins County Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Paducah Tilghman at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Paducah Tilghman is coming into the  match on a three-game losing streak.
