Upstate proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by ten) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Anderson C Cavaliers 9-7. The win was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on three straight.
Aiden Chambers was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Caleb Hernandez was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
Upstate always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .560. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-5. As for Anderson C, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
