The Independence Patriots stacked  an  11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Garinger 72-43 at home. With Independence ahead  37-16 at the half, the  contest was all but over already.
 Independence's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Kamryn Kitchen, who  scored 18 points along with three  steals. Kitchen hasn't dropped below two  steals for ten straight games. Another player making a difference was  Hannah Moss, who  scored nine points along with six  rebounds and five  steals.
 Despite the  loss, Garinger saw an underclassman step up:  Misa Garris  scored 26 points along with eight  rebounds and four  steals. That was a full 60.5% of Garinger's points, marking the third time in a row she's  earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Imonee Patterson, who  scored two points along with ten  rebounds.
 Independence has  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Garinger, their loss was  their fifth straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 12-9.
 Independence will  face off against the Panthers at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Providence will have to bring their A-game into this one,  as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 153rd, while the Patriots are ranked 17th). As for Garinger, they will look to defend their home court  on Tuesday against the Cougars at 6:00  p.m. Charlotte Catholic will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
