The game between the pair wasn't particularly close, with Foundation Christian Academy falling 56-38. They have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Foundation Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Micah Sanders, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. That was a full 50% of Foundation Christian Academy's points, marking the 11th time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Tyndale Pittman, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Matty Vreeland continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Academy at the Lakes, scoring 24 points along with two steals. Nabil Delacurz was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with eight rebounds.
Foundation Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Academy at the Lakes, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Foundation Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Bishop McLaughlin Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Bishop McLaughlin Catholic is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak. Academy at the Lakes on the road again on Thursday and play against Brandon Academy at 6:30 p.m. on February 1st.
