Softball Recap: Bourbon Makes It Five in a Row on the Road

Bourbon barely beat Stoutland the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The War Hawks put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 16-4 win on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the War Hawks, who have now won eight matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Bourbon's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.6 runs over those games. As for Stoutland, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Bourbon didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-0 victory against Grandview on the 23rd. As for Stoutland, they will square off against Salem at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
