The Lone Oak Buffaloes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Rains, falling 70-19. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lone Oak has scored all season.
Rains got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jasey Campbell out in front who scored 18 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. Campbell has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Presley Kilgore, who scored 14 points along with five steals.
Lone Oak bumped their record down to 3-11 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Rains, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-2.
Lone Oak will be home for the holidays to greet Commerce at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Commerce has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Rains, they will head out on the road to face off against Chisum at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chisum is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 51.1 points per game.
