The Bridge Creek Bobcats''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 49-3 loss at the hands of Tuttle. While losing is never fun, Bridge Creek can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma football rankings (they are ranked 119th, while Tuttle is ranked 21st).
Despite the loss, Bridge Creek still got an impressive performance from Dylan Shirley, who rushed for 117 yards on only nine carries. Shirley was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 50 yards.
Bridge Creek's loss was their seventh straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 3-4. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 6.43 points per game. Tuttle has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
Bridge Creek will head out on the road to face off against Blanchard at 7:00 p.m. on October 20th. Blanchard will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. As for Tuttle, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Tecumseh at 7:00 p.m. on October 20th.
