It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the University Cougars had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 73-57 win over the Huskies. The win was nothing new for University as they're now sitting on four straight.
Mo Kamara continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double on 25 points and nine rebounds. Ethan Adams was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with ten assists and five steals.
Hagerty lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Caden Douglass, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Julian Declou, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
University has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season. As for Hagerty, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-8.
University will take on Winter Park at TBD on Saturday. One thing working in University's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last nine matches. Hagerty does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
